아무래도 미국은 딱히 놀게 없으니 친구네 집에 자주 놀러 가곤 했다

친구는 부모님과 함께 살았고 전형적인 미국 백인들의 집이었다

냉장고 안엔 지퍼백 투성이였고 냉장실엔 블루베리 그리고 냉동실엔 닭가슴살이 넘쳤다

친구 아버지는 풋볼을 보며 팝콘을 먹었고

친구 어머니는 Carpenters의 음악을 들으며 뜨개질을 했다

Carpenters의 음악을 좋아한다고 하니 남편과의 연애 이야기를 해주시던 친구 어머니

내가 오면 항상 먹을걸 챙겨주고 싶어했던 친구 어머니

한국에 코로나가 다시 심각해지자 내 걱정을 해주시던 친구 어머니
